F-35 Maintenance Hangar
Hinman performed AT/FP consulting services for the F-35A maintenance hangar building 257 at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
This project provided the design, engineering, and construction of an approximately 65,000 sf. F-35A Hanger and Aircraft Maintenance Unit and a new F-15 Strike Aircraft Maintenance Unit.
Hinman consulted and coordinated a cost-effective basis of design with the construction and design teams during the design and construction phases.
The hanger walls consist of braced structural steel framing and sub-framing members faced with insulated metal wall panels. The AMU facility is enclosed with non-bearing CMU walls.
The overall construction cost was estimated to be $27.6 million.
Hinman provided AT/FP consulting services and coordinated a cost-effective basis of design with the construction and design teams during the design and construction phases.
Hinman provided air-blast design for determination of loads distributed to supporting structure, perform dynamic analysis of the structure, and coordinated DoD AT/FP requirements with the Architect, Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, Landscape Architect, Mechanical/Electrical engineers and the window/wall subcontractor.
