New U.S. Consulate Compound – Matamoros

Hinman was part of the design-build team providing blast and physical security consulting for a new office building (NOB) and Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR) at the U.S. Embassy in Matamoros, Mexico.

This project encompassed a full blast analysis of the two structures, from the development of blast loads to structural element response and proof-of-concept window framing.

Due to the seismic and progressive collapse requirements at the NOB, careful coordination of the roof framing with the structural engineer was crucial to the overall success of the project.
