P-378 F-35C Addition and Modification, Naval Air Station

Hinman interfaced directly with the design team for the coordination of AT/FP compliance and blast requirements throughout the duration of the project.

The new addition was structurally isolated from the existing building and was of steel-framed/reinforced concrete masonry construction.

This project included the renovation of Building 330 to support the F-35C aircraft and provided a new addition to include high bay maintenance space, crew and shop space, administrative and personnel support areas, communication equipment space and maintenance line shelter space.

The new addition was structurally isolated from the existing building and was of steel-framed/reinforced concrete masonry construction.

The overall project cost was approximately $57 million and estimated construction cost $51.4 million.

The renovation cost of the existing building exceeded 50% of the Plant Replacement Value (PRV) such that ATFP requirements were triggered for both the new and existing building.
