P-864 MALS Aircraft Maintenance Expansion

Hinman produced a DD1391 Report for the design of the FY14 Project P-864 MALS Aircraft Maintenance Expansion at Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), Kaneohe, Hawaii.

The project constructed a low-rise Composite Shop and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) Ground Support Equipment GSE Holding Shed at MCB Hawaii.

The primary objective for antiterrorism/force protection (AT/FP) design was to protect the mission and occupants of the Composite Shop and MALS GSE Holding Shed, located within the MCBH installation perimeter.

The Composite Shop included epoxy storage, epoxy mixing, paint room, paint storage, paint mixing, machining/grinding, cleaning/prep, layup/bonding, open storage, prep room, offices, restrooms and supporting mechanical/electrical/comm spaces. The MALS GSE Holding Shed included open warehouse storage with restrooms and electrical/mechanical space.

The primary objective for antiterrorism/force protection (AT/FP) design was to protect the mission and occupants of the Composite Shop and MALS GSE Holding Shed, located within the MCBH installation perimeter.

To meet this objective, physical security protective design was developed in accordance with all applicable standards of UFC 4-010-01 D0D Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings, in accordance with Appendix B and as many standards (as practical) of Appendix C will be implemented.
